Safe handling of semen

• Laboratory person should be aware that Semen samples may contain dangerous infectious agents (e.g. human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), hepatitis viruses or herpes simplex virus) and should therefore be handled as a biohazard.
• All disposables should be single use and should be discarded properly.
• Laboratory personnel should vaccinated.
